Every day, we are dealing with an enormous number of dogs who will be euthanized due to lack of space in shelters. Rescues and network enthusiasts are exhausted, trying to help dogs who are running out of time. Some get lucky. Some don’t. This fundraiser is for the ones who are still waiting.
MEET SWEET CANDY
Candy is an at-risk dog at Harris County Pets.
She is a 6-year-old tan and white Pit Bull Terrier weighing 50.5 lbs. Candy is a gentle, quiet soul who deserves comfort and kindness, not a concrete kennel.
Adult dogs like Candy are often overlooked in overcrowded shelters — not because they are unwanted, but because they are calm, quiet, and unseen. Sadly, in shelters overwhelmed by lack of space, dogs like Candy are at risk of euthanasia simply because there is no room left.
